Friendships Changed

I had a solid group of friends before I became pregnant, all of us around the same age. Once I broke the news to them that I was expecting, everything changed. I don't want to say that I sensed some jealousy, but that's exactly what I felt. When I think back, there were red flags waving everywhere.

My closest friend out of the group, we'll call her Sam, was the one I was most sad about (still am). I knew something had changed just within the first few weeks. She was still reaching out to 'check in on me,' but at some point, I would respond only to get no response back. For example:

Sam: "hey, just checking in! How's everything going? How was your doctor's appointment the other day?:)"Me: "Hey!! I'm good! Just so tired lol but thankfully we're all good and healthy.

How's everything with you? :)"

Actual conversation ^ and never got a response back. Now granted, I'm not going to be upset over one time of this, but no, sadly this was happening over and over until we just stopped texting altogether.

I haven't spoken to her in about a year now and when I think about it, it still stings but things happen.

I've heard this is actually a common occurence within female friends. Have you experienced this?
