Glucose test

I just did my glucose test this week and it went just the same as the first time I had to do it. That drink has to be the nastiest thing ever. Not only is it insanely sweet (50 grams) but they make you drink it under 5 minutes - yuck! Also, you have to fast prior and cannot have any food or water after you drink it. So you're left with a dry sticky taste in your mouth for the next hour.

It immediately makes me feel nauseous and both times it gave me a headache! I've only ever had the fruit punch flavor but apparetnly there are different kinds.

After you drink it, you have to wait an hour then get your blood drawn. My favorite part is the hour wait. I just go to my car and take a much needed nap, set my alarm and done.

Thankfully, both times I've passed.
